The team.

Let's start a conversation.

Alex’s passion for telling compelling stories that blend education, advocacy, and entertainment led him to found Herra Productions in 2011. Since then, he’s shepherded numerous video productions for clients, developed his own successful YouTube channel with over 5,000 subscribers and over 1.2 million views, and wrote, produced, and directed a feature documentary. Alex studied molecular toxicology at UC Berkeley, and Science, Health, and Environmental Reporting at New York University. Before Herra Productions, he wrote and produced video, radio, and print content for NOVA scienceNOW, CNN Health, and the San Francisco NPR station KQED.

Leo is a tinkerer of ideas, words, and narratives. With a creative background in marketing and branding, Leo has helped develop brands such as Google Maps, Google Street View, YouTube, Uber, and more. Whether it’s campaign work, video production, or brand development, a throughline in Leo’s work is a combination of playful and pragmatic. Leo studied environmental policy at UC Berkeley. He enjoys reasonable length walks on the beach, but only if it’s overcast or nighttime. Evening into nighttime works, too.

Brian is a director, cinematographer, and editor based in the San Francisco Bay Area. For the past 15 years, he's shot and edited national and international campaigns, branded promos, music videos, corporate films, narrative films, documentaries, and more. From social media teasers to season-long web series, Brian loves the process of developing a baby idea into a grown-up film. His previous roles include Executive Digital Content Producer for Creativebug and editor for CBS Interactive. Brian has a B.A. in Cinema Production from San Francisco State.
